De Zerbi casts doubt over Brighton future

Roberto De Zerbi has cast doubt over his  Brighton future by refusing to commit to the Seagulls for next season and revealing he wants to have talks with club owner Tony Bloom about his next steps. The 44 year old whose current deal at Brighton expires in 2026, has been linked with replacing Jurgen Klopp at Anfield in the summer. The Italian who is known with his unique tactic which guided Brighton to position sixth  in the Premier League last year, earning them a place in European competition for the first time in their 122-year history. Speaking During his Liverpool pre-match press conference De Zerbi said. Bullets signs a 20 year old Midfielder

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets  has a announced the signing of Sean McBrams the 20 year old midfielder. The former Kalibu  Academy captain who also spent the  larger part of 2022 playing and trailing for teams in Italy and Spain, has  agreed to a one year contract with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets that will keep him until march 2025. Speaking during the announcement Sean McBrams said he is very happy to be the part of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets. "I am very happy. This is amazing, I am very happy. This new environment is very amazing. I have been there (at the training ground) its amicable. The people there are amazing , the coaches there are very amazing. They welcomed me simply amazing, beautiful" He said. Sean McBrams mark's pasuwa's sixth signing of the  recent domestic transfer window that closes Friday at Midnight.

Bullets signs a Zimbabwean Center-back

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets confirms the signing of Colin Mujuru a 26 year old  Zimbabwean Center back. Colin Mujuru joins FCB Nyasa Big Bullets (The Peoples team) as a free agent after agreeing to a three year contract that will keep him until 2027.  The center back played for Herentals FC, Highlands FC, ZPC Karina, Harare City and Howmine FC in the Zimbabwean League. He also had a one  year with south Africa's National first division side, Cape Town Ubuntu. " I am happy for this opportunity in my career to play for the Malawi champions and  I am here to continue making them champions. Honestly, the pre-season was tough the way it should be, but after pushing myself I'm really happy penning to this team" He said during the announcement.

Gaba says no personal issue between him and Mabedi

Gabadinho Mhango South African base Frames-Striker currently playing for Moroka Swallows says there are no personal issues between him and Malawi National Football Team coach Patrick Mabedi. In an interview from Johannesburg  on Thursday, the Moroka Swallows player said it was unfortunate that his exclusion from the Flames was blown out of proportion by some quarters. "First, I would like to say that it is an amazing feeling to be back in the national team because there is nothing I enjoy more than serving my country and I can’t wait to catch up with the guys again," he said. "Secondly, there might have been issues that led to my exclusion and while I might have had reservations on how they were handled, there was nothing personal between me and the coach. "I felt the issue was exaggerated by some quarters, especially on social media and it was unfair. Anyway, let by gones, be bygones", he said.

Beach Soccer team off for COSAFA

The Malawi Beach Soccer team is this morning expected to leave for Durban, South Africa for the Cosafa Beach Soccer Championship scheduled to take place between 17-23 March 2024. Malawi, who are in Group A alongside South Africa, Said Arabia and Seychelles will begin their campaign against the hosts on Sunday before facing Saudi Arabia on Monday. The team’s final group stage match will be against Seychelles on Wednesday  March 20. Head Coach Willy Kumilambe has named a 10-man squad for the championship and says they are going to South Africa on a mission to bring the trophy home. "We had some challenges as a number of players have remained behind due to problems of passports. But those that have made it worked hard in camp. FAM doubles Ma's Subvention.

The Football Association of Malawi has doubled the annual subvention that it provides to Member Associations to K20 million from last year’s K10 million. FAM President Fleetwood Haiya made the revelation during the FAM budget consultative meeting in Salima on Saturday. "We can not realize our dream if we don’t capacitate our member Associations and this is why we have increased the funding. This is not enough as this is strictly for cushion governance issues. But we have also put aside K90 million which will be used to support other projects by Member Associations" said Haiya. The Association has put its expenditure budget for 2024 at K9.4 billion from last year’s K5 billion. The revenue budget has increased to K9.4 billion from K4.1 billion last year. FAM is forecasting to generate and receive K5.8 billion from FIFA, K1.6 million from government , K680 million from the Confederation of African Football, K250 million from FDH for Flames sponsorship and K 150 from fundraising ...

Xavi to leave Barcelona no matter what.

        Xavi Hernandez has confirmed that He will be leaving Barcelona at the end of the current LaLiga season no matter what. The former Barcelona midfielder made a stunning announcement after a 5-3 defeat to Villarreal on 27 January 2024 as the team was leading at 71 min 3-2. Following the post match interview with the press Xabi Hernandez said that the decision he made of leaving Barcelona is final even if they are going to win the champions league. "You keep on asking me if I will stay if we win the Champions League. No I will not stay at Barcelona next season. My future won't change, my answer will not change, I will leave Barcelona at the end of the season, I will enjoy Champions next season but just as fan" he said.

NBS doubled the charity shield sponsorship.

NBS Bank has increased the Charity Shield sponsorship from K20 million to K40 million for the 2024 edition . The bank's Chief Executive Officer Dr Kwanele Ngwenya announced the package today during a press briefing in Blantyre. FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will face Silver Strikers in the season opener at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on 30 March, 2024. FCB Nyasa Big Bullets are the all time charity Shield winners, last year they defeated Mighty Mukuru Wanderers 2-1.

Gaba to be present for the four national tournament.

Gabadinho Mhango has been called up for the Four nations tournament that will be hosted at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe from 18 to 26 March 2024. Following the announcement made by his current team in South Africa Moroka Swallows , this call up will mark  his 69th cap for the national team. The striker was not available in the last two games as the flames played against Tunisia and Liberia in the FIFA world cup qualifier's last year November.

Brahim Diaz to represent Morocco

Brahim  Diaz who plays for Real Madrid as an attacking midfielder has decided  To represent Morocco  and accepted there official call. Morocco have been trying for five years to convince Brahim to play for them, with the team’s head coach travelling to Milan and Madrid about five times this season. The Moroccan FA president, Fouzi Lekjaa, and politicians from the country have also visited Brahim. The 24 year old was born in Spain and has represented  the Spanish Senior side once in 2021 friendly against Lithuania and managed to score in a 4-0 win. Besides being born in Spain Brahim  was born from a Moroccan Father, he is free to switch international allegiances. The switch has not been made official yet with some formalities still to be completed. As part of the process, the Moroccan FA has to submit a request to FIFA for Diaz’s change of nationality.

Haiya challenges beach soccer team to bring COSAFA home

FAM President Fleetwood Haiya has challenged the  Beach Soccer national team to beat their previous COSAFA Beach Soccer Championship record and win this year’s  tournament which will start on Sunday in Durban, South Africa. Fam president Fleetwood Haiya made the remarks on Saturday when he visited the team in Salima where they are camping in preparation for the tournament. Malawi finished second place in their only appearance at the regional competition during the first championship held in Seychelles in 2015 after losing 9-4 to Madagascar in the final. Chiukepo retires from football at 35

Chiukepo Yakobu Smowoya has announced that he is retiring from football after being active as a professional player for two decades. The 35 year old who is the super league of Malawi all time  top goal scorer made the announcement on his Facebook page  Friday.  "I've had the privilege to be a professional football player for almost 20 years now and I feel incredibly thankful for the opportunity.  It has been an amazing journey filled with unforgettable moments and emotions. I want to thank The Malawi National Team and all the Clubs that I've played for, The coaches who supported me, plus teammates who have become friends. Klopp confirms that Salah is part of the squed that flew to Czechia

Salah was part of the Reds squad that flew out to Czechia this afternoon for the first leg of the Europa League last-16 tie with Sparta Prague on Thursday night. The Egypt international had missed the club’s past four matches after sustaining an issue in the 4-1 win at Brentford last month. The 16 year old youngster who made history with Liverpool in the FA cup as a youngest ever player to appear in the FA cup, rejected the love Zimbabweans have been showering . Following his statement Tray Nyoni rejected Zimbabwe and said he is from England since he was born there. "No disrespect I am from England, I am from Europe, I do not know how Zimbabwe looks like ,I have never been there and I have no links with Zimbabwe" Tray Nyoni said The kid was born in England though to African parents.

Chimango Kayira appointed as new Bullets U20 head coach

C himango Kayira Chimango Kayira has been appointed as a new FCB Nyasa Big Bullets U20 reserve head coach on Friday, following the departure of Otile Kalulu. The 30 year old played for FCB Nyasa Big Bullets from 2012 to 2014 and joined a Mozambican club Costa do Sol in 2014 And retained to Bullets in 2017 and played for 4 years, later he joined Bangwe all stars where he played for a season and hanged his boots as a player. Chimongo Kayira started his coaching career at mpila wathu  and he has now retained to FCB Nyasa Big Bullets as a coach, following his appointment this is what the former FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Midfielder said.
