Bingu National stadium  The Football Association of Kenya, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe have agreed to hold a four Nation tournament during the upcoming FIFA international window between 18-26 March in Lilongwe, Malawi. The tournament will feature the Senior Men's National teams (A Teams) for all the four nations. The tournament will aim at giving opportunity for the four national teams to face quality opposition in preparation for upcoming competitions like FIFA 2026 world cup and AFCON 2025 qualifying campaign. During the same period youth tournament for the four nations will also take place. these U20 tournaments will aid in developing and exposing elite youth talent while preparing teams for upcoming 2024 AFCON Under 20 qualifiers later this year.

Paul pogba  Paul pogba has been suspended from soccer for four years, it was announced Thursday, after testing positive for a banned substance in August 2023.  The Juventus star was provisionally suspended by Italy’s national anti-doping tribunal (NADO Italia) in September last year. Following the provisional ban, NADO Italia said that testosterone, which can be used to increase athletic endurance, was detected in the midfielder’s system after Juventus beat Udinise3-0. Pogba was on the bench as an unused substitute. Super league coaches have been encouraged to adopt new technology if they are to advance their new couching Career. Speaking at the FAM Elite Coaches Refresher Course opening ceremony at Mpila village on Tuesday 20 February FAM president Fleetwood Haiya said." As FAM we believe that the deliverables of this course are going to help the coaches know how to analyse their training sessions, the matches and those of their opponents as well as plan recovery sessions for their players thereby making 2024 season very competitive".  Haiya also emphasized  on how the coaches will be needed as part of the national footballer coaches association. “National Football Coaches Association has a vital role to play in our football because the game is technical.           Charles Swini   Malawi have lost one of the legendary goalkeepers Charles Swini, who has died at Kamuzu central hospital at the age of 38 after battling  kidney problems.  Charles Swini was admitted on Monday at kamuza central hospital, one of his close friends Rodney Domingo confirmed to  Zodiak today morning. On behalf of the Football Association of Malawi and the entire football fraternity FAM General Secretary  Alfred  Gunda extended the heartfelt condolences to swini Family. "In this sorrowful time, we would like to extend to the family of Swini our heartfelt condolences. May our Lord comfort you and your loved ones in these trying times. Silver strikers has unveiled the former central defender and captain of Malawi National team Peter Mponda as there new head coach. Mponda left black Leopards a south African team playing in National first division to replace Pieter De Jongh who parted ways with silver strikers early this year. The 42 year old has signed a contract of one year with the central bankers ahead of the 2024 season.  Speaking After being unveiled  former black leopards head coach said he is excited to start his new chapter with the silver strikers and look forward to take new challenges with the team.
