Haller takes Coted'lvoire to totalenergies CAF AFCON final

 


Sabastian Haller overhead kick fired the host Ivory cost into there fifth Africa cup of nations final after beating the Congolese 1-0.

Starting for the first time at the tournament following injury, a 29 year old striker Haller connected with Gradel cross in the 65th minute at Ebimpe Olimpic stadium, his volley looping over the goalkeeper and in, grants the elephants a victory 

The Elephants sucked there coach on the brink of elimination in the group stages, they had there luck as they were promoted to the round of sixteen as the fourth best third place finishers.

In the last 16 they come from behind to beat Senegal in the penalties and only needed 90th minute equaliser and a winner in there last kick of the match to get past Mali. 

Now Haller's stunner has seen the elephants chasing African cup of nation glory on home soil as They will face Nigeria who sent bafana bafana to fight for third place against Mali on Sunday.

De Zerbi casts doubt over Brighton future

Roberto De Zerbi has cast doubt over his  Brighton future by refusing to commit to the Seagulls for next season and revealing he wants to have talks with club owner Tony Bloom about his next steps. The 44 year old whose current deal at Brighton expires in 2026, has been linked with replacing Jurgen Klopp at Anfield in the summer. The Italian who is known with his unique tactic which guided Brighton to position sixth  in the Premier League last year, earning them a place in European competition for the first time in their 122-year history. Vin scored twice in the Semi's for Real Madrid
