Bayer are Bundesliga champions


Bayer Leverkusen  won the Bundesliga for the first time, ending Bayern Munich’s 11-year run as champions of Germany.

Xabi Alonso  runaway leaders wrapped up the title in style with five games to spare after a 5-0 home win over Werder Bremen, sparking jubilant scenes as fans celebrated a first Bundesliga title in the club’s 120-year history. 


Leverkusen, who could yet complete the first-ever unbeaten season in the Bundesliga , become the first team to beat Bayern to the German top flight since Jurgen Klopp led Borussia Dortmund to the title to consecutive titles in 2011 and 2012.

The tournament will aim at giving opportunity for the four national teams to face quality opposition in preparation for upcoming competitions like FIFA 2026 world cup and AFCON 2025 qualifying campaign. De Zerbi casts doubt over Brighton future

Roberto De Zerbi has cast doubt over his  Brighton future by refusing to commit to the Seagulls for next season and revealing he wants to have talks with club owner Tony Bloom about his next steps. The 44 year old whose current deal at Brighton expires in 2026, has been linked with replacing Jurgen Klopp at Anfield in the summer. The Italian who is known with his unique tactic which guided Brighton to position sixth  in the Premier League last year, earning them a place in European competition for the first time in their 122-year history. Speaking During his Liverpool pre-match press conference De Zerbi said. "I want to speak with my club, I have a contract but the problem is not the contract - the problem is to find the same plan, the same target, the same vision for the future. Vin scored twice in the Semi's for Real Madrid

  Highlights            Vinicius Junior scored twice as Real Madrid came away with a draw in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie with Bayern Munich. The Brazilian took advantage of two errors from Bayern defender Kim Min-jae - beating him for pace and slotting a shot past goalkeeper Manuel Neuer for the opener, before the South Korean fouled Rodrygo in the box and Vinicius put away the resulting penalty. But Sane sparked the hosts into life early in the second half, beating Lunin at his near post with a piledriver before Harry Kane slotted home from the penalty spot to complete the four-minute turnaround. Bayern controlled the game from then on yet squandered their lead with seven minutes left when Min-Jae Kim brought down Rodrygo in the box and Vinicius sent Manuel Neuer the wrong way to leave the tie all square.
