Ipswich Town expecting a back to back promotion


Ipswich Town moved up to second spot in the Sky Bet Championship standings with just one game remaining after securing a 2-1 win away at Coventry City.

The victory sees the Tractor Boys go three points clear of Leeds United going into the final day on Saturday, meaning a point at home Huddersfield Town will be enough to secure back-to-back promotions for Kieran McKenna's side.

Kieffer Moore put the visitors ahead inside 10 minutes, but Coventry improved after the restart and drew level thanks to Haji Wright just past the hour mark.

But Ipswich refused to lie down and it was Cameron Burgess who claimed the matchwinner - less than five minutes after being pegged back - to put Ipswich on the verge of Premier League football for the first time in over 22 years.

De Zerbi casts doubt over Brighton future

Roberto De Zerbi has cast doubt over his  Brighton future by refusing to commit to the Seagulls for next season and revealing he wants to have talks with club owner Tony Bloom about his next steps. The 44 year old whose current deal at Brighton expires in 2026, has been linked with replacing Jurgen Klopp at Anfield in the summer. The Italian who is known with his unique tactic which guided Brighton to position sixth  in the Premier League last year, earning them a place in European competition for the first time in their 122-year history. Vin scored twice in the Semi's for Real Madrid

But Sane sparked the hosts into life early in the second half, beating Lunin at his near post with a piledriver before Harry Kane slotted home from the penalty spot to complete the four-minute turnaround. Bayern controlled the game from then on yet squandered their lead with seven minutes left when Min-Jae Kim brought down Rodrygo in the box and Vinicius sent Manuel Neuer the wrong way to leave the tie all square.
